Chanelle Sheehan is a multidiscipline performer and collaborator. Chanelle is a recent graduate of the Honours Degree of the Bachelor of Performing Arts from Monash University under the direction of the late Peter Oyston. During her degree Chanelle performed in HAMLET (Hamlet), UNCLE VANYA (Yeliena), LYSISTRATA (Calonice), BLOOD WEDDING (The Servant), CLOUD NINE (Caroline Saunders), THE BAKER'S WIFE (Diane), METAMORPHOSIS (collaborator), THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS (Screwtape) and WIDOWS (Katherina).
Chanelle's versatility includes being a collaborator for Lisa Petty's DEAR IDA (2010) and Tanya Barnes OLEANNA (2007) a part of the Monash University Masters Program. Chanelle also gained the highly sort after Assistant Director role for Yvonne Virsik's MOURNING BECOMES ELECTRA (2009). Other Performance credits include ONE NIGHT IN HEAVEN (Chapel off Chapel), LA MAISON LES TRUFFLES and ROMEO AND JULIET 4EVA (Short and Sweet), FOOTLOOSE (Whitehorse Musical Theatre), GRIMM (Black Apple Theatre), AIDA (Devanesen Productions), BYE BYE BIRDIE (Jason Parker), AN IDEAL HUSBAND (Marisa Rowlands), TWO WEEKS WITH THE QUEEN (Black Apple Theatre), SONGS (Black Apple Theatre), and in 2011 played Ernestina Money in HELLO DOLLY! a part of the JERRY HERMAN TRIPTYCH (Magnormos).
Chanelle co-founded Black Apple Theatre in 2006 with the aim to create opportunities for emerging artists with recent sell out seasons of GIRLS DO GERTRUDE! and WEIR BE DRAGONS!. As a professional singer Chanelle had the honour to work with Jason Robert Brown, Georgia Stitt and John Bucchino, New York's finest musical theatre composers on a national tour.
