Sally’s first professional job was in the title role in the original Australian production of ANNIE in 1978. Sally was part of the Australia casts of the musicals NINE and LES MISERABLES before moving to London in 1991. Sally performed in London’s West End in LES MISERABLES, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, A, MY NAME IS ALICE, MY FAIR LADY, HEY MR PRODUCER and the original cast of the Andrew Lloyd Webber/Ben Elton musical THE BEAUTIFUL GAME. Prior to returning to Australia, Sally created the role of Andrea in the world premier production of JERRY SPRINGER THE OPERA at the National Theatre, London. Sally was a regular on London’s cabaret scene for over 10 years as well as writing and performing stand up comedy, Sally was a finalist in the So You Think You’re Really Funny Awards at Jongleurs in Camden, London.

Sally can be seen alongside Madonna in the movie EVITA playing Eva Peron’s maid.

Since returning to Australia she has appeared in DAMN YANKEES at the State Theatre for the Production Company; as well as writing and performing her own cabaret shows; KIDDING AROUND & THE SALLY BOURNE IDENTITY. She was nominated for a Green Room Award for the latter for best original songs in a cabaret in 2008. Sally then created the role of Brigitte Warne in the world premier of SHANE WARNE THE MUSICAL by Eddie Perfect. In 2010 Sally appeared in the new Australian musical ONCE WE LIVED HERE for which she was nominated for ‘best featured artiste’ at the 2010 Green Room Awards. Last year, Sally appeared in the new production of THE BOY FROM OZ for The Production Company in the new Australian comedy, SMALL TIME GANGSTA for the Movie channel.

Most recently, Sally created the role of Layla in the world premier of the Cat Stevens musical MOONSHADOW at the Princess Theatre to critical acclaim.
